Bluff Park

Last Friday was truly a GOOD Friday! 30 or 40 of us from my amazing church, Naperville Christian Church went to Bluff Park near downtown Aurora and we loved on all sorts of people in the neighborhood.

We brought 50 pizzas and thought that maybe we’d gone overboard…not so much. Within an hour and a half, every slice was eaten, and many relationships blossomed between our group and the wonderful people from the neighborhood.

My heart was bursting with life when we left and I realized that I MUST be a part of loving people just like Jesus did. Jesus was so free with his love that he was constantly accused of being a sinner because he hung out with people who needed and wanted him.

Our church is on an amazing adventure…one that we will never forget.

Thank you God for resurrecting my heart.

Peace,

Neil

Bluff Park was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. Though I have been on many organized missions trips, serving people in our own “backyard” was nothing less than thrilling. I long to go back and maintain relationships that have already formed, as well as build new ones. Like a city on a hill, my excitement cannot be hidden!!!

Awesome! It is time that Christians stop being content to just be AT church & start to simply BE the church. And that means getting outside of the 4 walls we often hide inside of..& reaching out to a world in desparate need. We have been created with a mission….may we be the ones who are unafraid & unashamed to live it out!
